SERVICES TO THE COMMUNITY

The following organizations currently receive funding from CPC – Regina Centre.

Camp Circle O’ Friends (CCOF)
Camp Circle O’Friends is a special four-day camp for children whose lives have been affected by cancer. This camp is located on the shores of Lake Diefenbaker and is attended by approximately 100 campers from around the province each year.  This organization is the major recipient of funds from CPC-Regina Centre and has been the focus of the club’s fund-raising activities for over 17 years.

Girl Guides of Canada
Girl Guides of Canada – Regina Chapter operate 20 to 25 bingos per year under a lottery license held by our club.  This partnership started in 1992 with a goal to assist the Girl Guides of Regina in paying off the mortgage on their building at 1530 Broadway Avenue and to assist them in making necessary improvements.

Canadian Cancer Society
Contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society have been primarily in the form of funding to renovate the auditorium at the Cancer Society headquarters in Regina.  This room is available to many non-profit groups including the three Regina Progress Clubs. It is also used for training sessions for volunteers of the Canadian Cancer Society.

Inner-City Schools Lunch Program
This program is organized by both the Separate and Public School Boards of Regina and supports lunch programs in inner-city schools in Regina.

Regina Wheelchair Basketball Association
This organization supports wheelchair basketball for youth with physical disabilities in order to promote health, wellness and self-confidence.  Donations to this organization are used to purchase specialized wheelchairs for use by the kids and also for a trailer designed and built to move the wheelchairs to various locations.
